Keela: ha ha, I don't know the road's name. Am not from the City myself. But if you are in Patrick Street (which is the main street with all the shops), then take a left down one of the side streets. Whatever road THAT is, that's the road the GPO is in, lol, if that helps. It's nearer the top end of Patrick street, rather than the bottom end. And ask, ask, ask.... someone will guide you in.

Lol, sounds a bit mad, eh? I am 20 miles outside Cork city, so how's that for commitment from me. I have booked into a B&B for the night also. And bringing a spare girl friend along, too. And I know of a def 8 that will be there, for sure. The rest I can't comment on, I don't know them.

can i bring them too ? LOL Crane Lane is a great venue - it's situated off Pembroke Street. The GPO is on the junction of Pembroke Street, with Oliver Plunkett Street [which runs the whole east-west of the main city centre].

The GPO is on oliver plunkett street across from the old oak bar and if u're on Patrick's street it's down the lane between Brown Tomas and a vodaphone shop,and crane lane is down a lane around the corner from the gpo beside a bar and photographer's shop,

There was a place across from it years ago called surfers,that was the last time i was there id say

No, I don't think there's any cover charge for Crane Lane. There are 3 parts to the bar, and the back area is where the music is played - I am not sure if there will be a charge to get in there, but we won't be sitting there, so the answer is probably no charge.
We are all on a budget!
PS I did email them asking these questions, but they never replied to me :-(
