Meet In Galway anyone? - Galway Get-Together, Saturday Sept 30 ( Locked) (162)

Hey everybody.

Im guessin there are a few if not a lot of people in here that find it hard to go out to a pub/club and start a conversation with a complete stranger.

Well lets do excatly that.....(Well maybe not a complete stranger, after all we will all have to agree a time/date and plce).

I work a shed load of hours at the worst possible times and now I find myself in a city where I hardly know anyone and where it seems harder and harder to meet with and keep in touch with new people.

Is there some of you out there that have gone through your phone book on your mobile just to realise there is hardly anybody that will be able to go for a drink and the others you wouldn't really want to go out for a night out with anyway.

Why should it be this way???

ARE WE ALL NOT DECENT PEOPLE WITH SOMETHING IN COMMON WITH AT LEAST 1 PERSON?

Well if you agree I would like you to make some suggestions on a venue/time/date!

Come on people......Think it's about time you had more then the usual suspects to rely on all the time? Then lets organise a shindig where there is no barriers such as shyness, fear of rejection?

What any of us got to lose?

At worst we make a few new friends / drinking buddies at best.......Well who know's?

Don't care where people come from as it will add a bit of flavour and character to the whole thing. knowin people from galway is great but it would also be good to meet up with people from outside galway also.

If it dont clash wiyh the Dublin one then i'm there mate cheers

Post the dates and I will certainly try - my parents live outside Galway, so I can kill two birds with one stone, so to speak!

Sounds like a Plan to me if Im not throwing myself out of an aeroplane at 10,000ft. Goingdoing a sky dive next month but not sure of a date yet.

Hey - maybe we can get a whole bunch of CS's to throw themselves out of a plane - a social event with a difference!!
