Afterlife

All too often a blind side avalanche of change hits us like a gust of wind that takes the breath from our heart and leaves us upon the teetering moments of grief, anguish, and angst. We lose someone we held dearest to our hearts to death. Many of us question whether or not there is an afterlife, or a life that exists beyond the here and now of this current physical existence; some do not question this at all. Regardless of the answer to whether or not there truly is a life beyond what we know to be the death of the physical body, the loss we feel for those we love after they have died is beyond what I could ever put into words. Within my own loss and experiences with death and the life beyond its veil, the song Afterlife was born that it may capture a small glimpse into the whole process and experience of letting go of someone we love dearly. Allowing our self to feel the grief without holding judgments against ourselves for feeling sad or upset, we are able to find freedom within our own heart by realizing Love is eternal. And even though our primordial senses may not be able to testify to a life beyond physical death within this earth plane, there is hope in knowing that through the genuine love we will always feel for the person whom passed on before us... we shall always be with them as they are with us. ~Eternally.
