Records can evoke memories...that Gordon Lightfoot track i posted the other day set off a train of thought with me...i recall when i was in care as a teen being taken, along with the rest of the boys, to have my hair cut-we had no choice about it- and sitting bored in a barbers shop in Bloxwich waiting my turn...the barber had an old bush valve radio in the shop and had radio 2 on... it was a rainy, windy winter afternoon, and this was played-seemed apt for the day...
