So much talent crosses this corner, I am thankful!
Takin' a chance...
(c) 2013
I wrote this poem in my bedroom at a private French Chateau in central France in December 1999. It was a very difficult period in my life emotionally with someone special floating in and out of my life at will. The writing of this poem was cathartic and helped me overcome the emotional roller coaster which was playing havoc with my working life at the Chateau at the time.
My first day in Holland.

Rose pedals on the bed, candle light, pillow shred, curtain caressed by wind, burning essence, dark skin, in the castle, unveil by pen, milk bath, lemon scent, moonlight, marble floor, clothes has left, bare through door.

I looked at Ron Paul and his stance on some of these issues as he is one of my favorites through the years who ran for president. Ross Perot, Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, and Ralph Nader were some good ones too.

I wrote this poem, the day I turned 60, (09-09-2007) out on Johnson's beach, walking barefoot on the sand. I was completely swept away by the awesome power of the beautiful gulf, n found myself just a little jealous of the waiting shore. ! I offer no other explanation.
I decided to make impatience into a true-blue virtue, for it can come in really handy when, we aren't getting the desired results from patience, n it has gotten a bad rap for centuries. Who got to decide that anyway ? It is now one of my own special personal mottos ! aware3

"People are People" Its a camp fire sing a long song We're different colors And different creeds And different people Have different needs It's obvious you hate me Though I've done nothing wrong I've never even met you What could I have done People are people so why should it be You and I should get along so awfully People are people so why should it be You should hate me You're punching and kicking, And you're shouting at me, I'm relying on your common decency, So far it hasn't surfaced, But I'm sure it exists, It just takes a while to travel From your head to your fist. I can't understand What makes a man Hate another man Help me understand People are people So why should it be You and I should get along so awfully People are people So why should it be You Should Hate me I can't understand What makes a man Hate another man Help me understand

I think I love thee With the violence of a storm And the grasp of a bird of prey - With the ardor of a consort. I love thee in such a way That the bowels of my being - Like an incandescent volcano – are ablazed With the fire of passion.
