Sycamore leafs
on sticks of Winters bones
shoals of seasons reefs
lighthouse and the stones

Spring is the song of butterfly's departing
while cloud dragons roost on the coals of the sun

soul of songs in flight
dreams in tides of light
moon of the seasons bright
for Spring was the blossoms sprite
by beauty the wind alight
mind the soaring kite
sett sail to stars own height

NATURE'S VICE.

Nothing compares with a hot sunny day
When a canopy of trees, give shaded way
Hidden and secure, from a hot summer sun
Sparkling through leaves, where a river runs

Rays of sunlight, sprinkled from above
Dancing on water, a lace made of love
Mesmerizing beauty, breathtaking-free
Shimmers with life, shrouded by trees

Draped in shadows, cooling breeze holds
As tinkle from water, gentle never bold
Meandering with caution, protected serene
Nature's gift allows, anyone to dream

Of trees and blossoms, capturing souls
As river makes its journey, towards goal
Peace and tranquility, enclosed in life
Depth-speed-sharp rocks, nature's vice.

life with Trees

I meet them every day breeze or with ease swaying as if they are saying hello
with leaves that fall at my feet again never to meet
but perhaps they are saying life is fleeting
we will forever see you
as life goes on with falling years.

DAWN LIGHTS...

In peaceful bubble, as from the black
Hints of light flashes, no holding back
Waking sunlight, to spread and explode
Drifting lights escape, eager to unfold

Time is not wasted, from a dawns break
Like spilling shining water, into a lake
Lake as a sky, vast and so very blue
Speed of an eagle, as to freedom flew

Day after day, we expect a fresh dawn
Repeating the sequence, is daily born
Each vary so slightly, outcome the same
Nature's gift cycle, sometime with rain

Allowing raindrops, to dazzle as crystal
Soft and gentle, or as fired from pistol
Sprinkled or heavy, can enhance new dawn
Christening earth, a sparkling new-born

Soon we except, carry on with the day
Emotions important, not what we say
Memories so special, none will forget
All future waking dawns, nature set

HOKIANGA HARBOUR......

Lush green, drips with dew
Halo of light, paints shiny hue
Dense darkness, sun explodes
On golden wings, morning rode

Lifting light, to flood the land
Sun wore halo, golden band
Surge of light, so rapid spread
From sky above, to nature's bed

Underfoot, where grasses spring
Skin tingles as moisture clings
Rushing water- musical tunes
Guides ocean, to rising dunes

Golden sand, meets golden sun
Circle a sea, as quick tide runs
Brings new life, upon a beach
Fingers of ocean, aim to reach

Paradise, meets turquoise sea
Home to few, gives life to free
Tiny inlets, with coves and bays
Nature secret- sand-bars lay

Secures harbour, few will see
Isolated location, its safety key
Hills that climb, from valley floor
Harbour entry, its hidden door.

About this poem:
The west coast harbour at the top of New Zealand remains safe from tourism, for many reasons.....Sand bars block the entry and few boats sail upon its waters......instead its raw beauty remains with a few historic settlements.....and tourists who found it, and never left, living side by side with locals......

The Modest Visitor

You rarely come to visit
Even less the last few years
Was told that you'd be here this week
but you did not appear

The family were full of cheer
Got dressed up for the day
All set to really welcome you
But then you stayed away

You really are so popular
We know the reason why
You put a smile on every face
And do not have to try

There are times you are modest
that sometimes you need to hide
But when you show yourself again
We feel the warmth inside

You're famous all around the world
And followed everywhere
But not on social media
We'll never find you there

Important's what you are to us
Our number one lifeline
Without you we would disappear
Thank God for you Sunshine

My Galaxy Is Yours ......

As the sun sets and the darkness arrives, the galaxy's of the stars well collide, new ones are born and old ones well die, telling the story's night after night the little one's in celestial flight, shadows an dust with a spectrum of gas, planets appear and then they well pass, heaven forbids looking through the magic glass, blacker then black become crystal clear, for billions of years through the universe one bye one the new worlds well appear............

CLOSE DOWN......

Stillness coats the air....
navy mottled till light flares

Breaking through darkness....
silver lights, that caress

Feelings of silent peace.....
until night time, must cease

Bordering earth a pinkish hue
hints of sunset, give a clue

Closing down, as day completes
most creatures aim to sleep

Wait the stars and haloed moon
even a breeze, dare play its tune

Throughout the night, navy sky
smoothers action upon high

Darkness deepens as light is lost
waking dawn, will pay the cost

When light streams waking all
from the earth, night will fall......
