Raindrops

Raindrops...

So many images come to mind when one thinks of raindrops. Those drops that remove the dust from the trees making them appear new..those drops that wash the flowers and choose to nestle between the petals..those drops that make a beautiful sound when they fall from above, soaking the ground..those drops that make a person curl on the bed with a book...those drops that make a person heading outside take an umbrella/raincoat..those drops that make you wish you could hold your partner's hands and cuddle..Yes those tiny drops falling from the sky. They invoke so many emotions and feelings in a person.

I would like to write down what came to my mind one day when I looked at the raindrops on a window sliding down. Actually those raindrops sliding down the window represent us..everyone. One big raindrop starts its journey from the top of the window making a way. Then, many raindrops start following it. The line made by the raindrops becomes thicker and thicker as more and more raindrops slide along the same line. Few of them while sliding along the line make a detour making a new branch. I think it says a lot about how things are in today's world. We see one person who has made something worthy and noticeable and it results in many people following it. Some of them follow the line but make a slight detour to be different. But on the same window we see, there are very few raindrops who choose not to follow the line like the rest of them. They carve a new line. Those raindrops are not afraid. They do not care whether the line will be thick, whether other raindrops will follow them like the other popular ones. They just choose not to follow.

Well, what happens in the end? All the raindrops reach the same place..the end of the window. Same is the case with us. So its all a matter of choice for a person when it comes to go in a particular direction. If one chooses to follow the thick line on which many of them have been before, that's his choice. If one chooses not to follow others and make a new line, that's his choice too. The journey will remain the same and so will the destination. Which way you choose to go is up to you!
