Had the little people here earlier (the grandkids), the adults were talking about days gone by. My 6 year old grandson said I dont remember that where was I, in my wisdom I said sweetie you werent born then, his reply floored me " Nanny where was I before I was born". How do you answer that one?
There are only 26 letters in the english alphabet so why do some words have silent letters. It you cant say it, then why is it there?? Apparently these 26 letters make 42 sounds on their own & grouped together.
