The Human Endgame

For better or for worse, we're in the approaching endgame now, with the direct Ziocon-US intervention into the Russian- Ukrainian war with direct military aid with heavy weapons being air lifted into Ukraine. Just 2 days after the Putin warned all nations that they are going to become legitimate targets for doing so, just as the Ziocon dominated US warned China not to supply Russia with weapons. The proverbial endgame is speeding up for all 6 or 7 billion of us now living through one of the wildest, most psychotic blood lusting times in human history, belatedly trying to stop the ocean levels from rising, the so called wars on terror from escalating and our collective mood disorders from spinning out of control. It seems that the next five years, at least will be the last ditch attempt to pull out of this deadly eco-psycho-politico struggle. It will be a fight to the finish against materialism, selfishness, decadence, opulence, corruption, greed and the psychotic desire to kill other peoples. We'll have to pull down a lot more Iron Curtains and Berlin Walls and create a lot more Mahatmas Gandis, Nelson Mandelas, and Martin Luther Kings... Can we do this? Are we collectively up to it? Are there yet enough charged-up people, communities, businesses, societies and religions out there for Humanity to pull through? To break the Ziocentric controls upon our societies that daily try to persuade us that Zionism Macht Frei as they shuffle their forces and allies around the planet which is OUR planet, not theirs to partition and rule over. Earth will not become "Planet America" or "Planet Israel"!
What ever happened to "arms control"? Why can't we all live our lives without the fears of Nuclear War??? Everyday people around out planet do not need Nuclear Bombs to live out our lives. We do not have frenzied psychotic desires to go out and kill our neighbours, for the most part despite the blood-lust talk and speeches by crazed politicians to make our planet "safe for Zionism".

Oldest Virus In History Still Going Strong...Who's Next??

A virus that causes those infected "to believe without question every groundless story, legend, and dire warning imaginable that pops up in the alleged minds of the spreaders and their facilitators". The usual symptoms of infections include the willingness to believe improbable stories without ever thinking; the urge and obsession to forward multiple copies of these stories to others including all types of authorities, and a total lack of any desire to take even 2 minutes to either check that such stories are true or to listen to themselves.
A warning about this virus issued sometime ago by the supposed "Institute for the Investigation of Irregular Internet Phenomena, has been widely disseminated on line and by various news stations at some points in times past. If internet users suspect they've been infected, the messages advise, they should "rush to their favourite search engines and look up the item(s) and simply look up the item tempting them to thoughtless credence. In most homes, legends, alleged news stories and, of course, rumours and "tall tales" are and have been widely discussed, laughed at and exposed by the many internet users that still retain at least, a facsimile of coherent minds, some examples: If someone comes to your door saying they are conducting a survey and asks you to take your clothes off, do not do it! This is a scam; they only want to see you naked. Many wish they'd gotten this warning yesterday. You will feel cheap and dirty now...
A new computer virus is spreading throughout the entire internet! It is far more insidious than the virus last week's called the "I've been Abducted by Tiny Aliens", named after a classic guide to family style Jokes, it returns email messages that have over the top adult jokes totally inappropriate to most families scared of God and have numerous grammatical errors... another is White People Are being Shrunk by Coloured Aliens from Inner Space! Emergency emails arriving soon....Please forward this message to everyone on your e-mail list NOW! cheering

Be A Revolution!

In all revolutions, the agents of change, usually a small hard core of fired up, fed-up individuals, reach a personal point of reckoning where to do nothing becomes harder than to step forward. Then comes the televised actions, the rebellions on a campus, random acts of defiance in high schools, malls, workplaces…A mass of support accrues. The daily little confrontations escalate. Momentum builds…
And finally, the revolution ignites. Very often the ignition spark is a single symbolic act that takes the old power structure by surprise, a gesture that becomes a metaphor, living forever. Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus; a Vietnamese protestor fed a daisy into a barrel of a rifle; a dissident stares down a line of tanks in Tiananmen Square; Nelson Mandela walks out of his prison cell…A freedom flotilla breaks the siege on Gaza. These memes penetrate skulls like bullets.
The biggest impediment to revolution is a personal one: our own deep-seated feelings of cynicism and impotence: ‘How can anything I do, possibly make a difference?’
Most of us have trouble accepting radical change as a viable option. Entrenched in a cozy, familiar world, we cannot imagine another. It’s hard to see the current system as simply a stage of a never ending cycle that sooner or later will fall, torn down i need be, and be succeeded, but this process of creative destruction is exactly how the real world works.
We don’t need a million activists to jumpstart this revolution. We just need an influential minority that smells the blood, seizes the moment and pulls of a set of well-coordinated strategic moves. We need a certain level of collective disillusionment like we have now and then we need leaders of the affluent,”First” world nations to fumble another world crises like Global Warming, another stock market crash or perhaps a nuclear standoff in the Middle East or in the Ukraine. By waiting for the right moment and then jamming in unison, a global network of a few hundred can pull a coup off. We create a sudden, unexpected moment of truth--a mass reversal o perspective; a global mind shift, from which the corporate consumerist forces never fully recover; the ultimate revolt of ordinary people against the Wall Street Corporate world and their slavish government to keep us in line would finally win. Be a revolution.

Spare a few hundred for a burger?

During a dinner in a very expensive hotel restaurant in Buenos Aires I kept overhearing either a banker or a stock-broker boast about how easy it is to cheat the stupid masses out of their money. I heard the waiter give them their bill and a comment that ‘only 3 thousand dollars was cheap’,(this is about 25260.00 pesos).Besides wanting to make him a vegetable for the rest of his miserable life, what he was saying got me thinking about the ways that some make their money, like the economic vampires in our midst, like the bankers and the stockbrokers, traders, etc.
A working person toiling away on an automobile assembly line or in a restaurant kitchen must have found it difficult to understand how bankers and brokers who have brought the economies of entire countries to their knees made so much money simply by selling pieces of paper. When workers make cars, houses or meals, and when farmers produce food, they are producing something that people need and can use. But those who sell complex financial instruments do not produce anything tangible at all. Something doesn’t seem quite right about making money without producing a useful good or service that most people need. And, indeed, no society can survive if the only economic activity, or even the dominant activity, is lending and borrowing money.
The same can be said for buying already made things at one price and selling them at a much higher price. If the only economic activity is merchant trade, everyone would soon die because nothing is being produced. At its most fundamental level an economy is a system of production of at least some useful outputs. When so much labour is devoted to the buying and selling of pieces of paper with the sole aim of converting money into money, something profoundly irrational is taking place.
I wondered at this banker/ broker’s types of clientele; what do they do, should one be low on cash and want a burger…do they ask a stranger on some street, “Hey, buddy, can ya spare six-hundred and sixty-six dollars for a burger?” (The Douche Burger at 666Burger, NYC) Perhaps a ‘senior financial banker’ has run low because of his alimony payments will ask, "I hate to bother ya but, but could ya spare me 2 grand for a nice burger over at Mallie’s Sports Grill an’ Bar?” (Mallie’s Sports Grill and Bar in Detroit; their “Ridiculous Burger” is priced at $2000.00)
Perhaps an up and coming Jr. Stock trader in Las Vegas, just laid-of will soon ask a stranger outside the restaurant burger joint that serves the Fleur Burger for a ‘quick seventy bucks; or go for the better nutritious meal that includes a bottle of Chateau Petrus with the Fleur burger at a paltry price of five thousand dollars,US…as some laid off worker in Anytown takes his ‘macmeal’ with a bottle of Chateau Chevrolet ($1.00 a bottle) and eats behind a 7-11…nearly 2,000 people is the number of former members of the US Congress, conceptional staffers, Treasury Department and other US federal employees that were hired as lobbyists on behalf of the financial services sector since the start of 2009. It’s a wonder how people in the US put up with this level of corruption at the very heart of their so called democracy…(source: Center for Responsive Politics)
Apologies to all the semi educated and illiterate trailer park types that immediately resort to name calling like demented children on rampages brought about by topics you either can’t fathom let alone comprehend. Go back to the grade school out dropped out of and get an education before subjecting others to your neanderthal wit.

Thoughts On Utopian Capitalism

The US Tea Party protests seem to be shaking things up in American conservatism, both politically and religiously among the ‘evangelicals’. But I wonder what all the dissenters from the left have accomplished recently. Not much of anything. They fill some streets in a few cities, wave unread signs and choke on some tear gas. Black panther types smash a few windows, but afterwards, the 24-hour news cycle moves on and people are left feeling empty. Nothing has changed and the left over molotov cocktails sputter out.
In a perverse way, their protests may actually be reinforcing and validating the global consumerist regimes. I get the distinct impression that the G20 types of summit leaders and organizers sigh with relief when they learn that the protesters are once again mobilizing massive protests against them. After all, what would a successful economic summit be without thousands of angry underemployed and long term unemployed protestors clashing with ranks of automatonic riot police and/ or troops with a few overturned and burning police cars in the streets? Without sporadic semi-violent spectacles like that, Capitalism would lose its dynamic spark, not especially by those not afraid to protest and riot…but to those too scared to riot.
Perhaps it’s time to deny them their regularly scheduled spectacles and try something new.
For the next economic summit, why don’t we all just ignore it. Instead of massive displays of anger, give them silent empty streets…silence…not a sound, not a person protesting to validate their billion dollar security budgets.
Reuse to react, refuse to engage, refuse to make demands. There is no real reason to do so because they already know what we, what all people want. We all need for their system to die. Why make demands of the things you want to destroy? Negotiating only grants further legitimacy and continuity to their regimes.
Instead, live on the prowl, pulling of minor acts of rebellion that frustrate their doomsday machine at every turn. Acts like destroy those places that print up credit cards, withdrawing our moneys, buying only locally and spreading revolutionary memes.( Memes can change minds, alter behaviour, catalyze collective mind-shifts and transform cultures; a unit of information; a catchphrase, a concept, a tune, notion, philosophy of politics.)
Meet in small groups in local coffee shops’ plot audacious acts of civil/ political disobedience; slowing/ stopping traffic, liberating billboards, detonating homemade napalm bombs; set fires in bank vaults and burn the money; things that hurt their bottom line. Bolder actions come from every 0.001C rise in the global sea level and global rise in temperature…more defiant with every billion dollar Goldman Sachs bonus package for merely pushing paper around. Attack capitalism, not at officially sanctioned protests but like bees attacking a wounded beast with millions of incessant stings and keep escalating until our the costs of doing business as usual becomes impossible to bear. Assassinate bank managers; members of the boards, shoot the stock holders; go after the real holders of the wealth stolen from the people at large… Destroy the debt system and its moneys.
The next summit is a good time to start. They can have their conferences, the peoples of the world will have their revolution of everyday life.

Depression and Malaise of Empire

There seems to be a massive increase in anxieties, mood disorders and depression which makes me wonder if the world at large in in the grip of an epidemic of mental illness.
The alleged war weariness of the American Empire is on the verge of entering another so called 'war against terror’ with their newly found threat of ‘ISIS’. They seem anxious to allow the policy of ‘perpetual peace through perpetual war as described by the late Gore Vidal an exceptionally astute American student and veteran of US foreign policy.
What could be the root cause of this epidemic on mental illness, one may ask and among the first things that occurs is the American notion of the egocentric mind- the idea that you are the captain o your own destiny and that you should be able to chart your own path and find your own happiness and control your own destiny fundamentally without the need of others. This idea, particularly in the US has led to a great deal of insecurity and a general loading of their psychopathology. In my opinion, the human animal is much more of a group animal than the American idea of the mind suggests it to be.
The ever-expanding mental health profession is willing to take that insecurity of their lives and is ready to give it any number of different labels. In the 1960’s and 70’s it was anxiety, in the ’80’s and ’90’s it was depression, and everyone is waiting for the new name in the next generation.
For women, because of the quickly changing roles have caused a tremendous amount of stress. Modernization, breakdowns of families and community ties have all led to an increase in the general loading of their psychopathology. Instead of more pills, perhaps more and better connections should be the medicine of choice. Human beings seem to not feel at ease mentally if they are disconnected from their role(s) within a group. The human mind is deeply permeable to the goals and expectations of the people around us, and if we won’t pay attention to that, if peoples the world over think of themselves as do the Americans, that as the captains of their own destiny, always able to pick themselves up by their own individual bootstraps, then they and the world will likely experience that sort of postmodern insecurity that leads everyone to a certain form of hyper-introspection of always looking inward and becoming afraid. I see Americans afraid of many things, especially of the world at large which usually leads to aggressive behaviour. When it is a State, it becomes a state of war against ‘them’, whoever is designated as ‘them’.
The US is already dying in the manner in which all imperial projects die; the costs of running and constantly defending an empire eventually becoming so burdensome and their so called ‘elite’ become so calcified, that it becomes more efficient to dismantle the imperial superstructure and return to local organizations. At that point, the great monuments to empire, from ancient Summer and the Mayan temples to the ruins of Rome, are abandoned, fall into ruin, disuse and are finally overgrown. However, this time around, because we all have nowhere to migrate to, world civilization may just disintegrate as a whole, and this time, take the entire planet down with them...

A Social Malaise

During a recent dinner with friends and acquaintances, some old and some new, the topics of talks turned, as it often does these days, to the problems of social anxieties; how it is consuming everyone; how the very technologies that we have developed to save time and thereby lessen anxiety have only degraded the quality of the former and exacerbated the latter; how we all need to “give ourselves a break”, before we implode. Everyone has some means of relief--yoga, writing a blog, soccer, a visit to your fashionable psychiatrist every Wednesday- but the very manner in which those activities are framed as separate from normal or regular life suggests the extent to which that so called relief is temporary,(if even that: some will admit that those "personal recreational” activities partake of the very same simmering, near-obsessive panic as the rest of their lives).
There is something circular and static to our conversations, which doesn’t end so much as fizzle indeterminately out…
Imagine that the problem is not physical. Imagine the problem has never been physical, that it is not the biodiversity, it is not the impending collapse of the ozone layer, it is not the rapid growth of world-wide ghettos, the daily loss of jobs everywhere, the dry mouth and tongue, or the diseases stalking everywhere as insatiable consumerism devours anything without any concern. Imagine the problem is not some latest syndrome of the global society that can be solved by commissions or laws or redistribution of what we call wealth. Imagine that it goes much deeper, right to the core of what we term our civilization and that no one outside of ourselves can effect real change, that our so called civilization, our respective governments are sick and that most of the global population is mentally ill and spiritually dead-- that all our issues and crises are but symptoms of this deeper sickness.
The problem is that we cannot imagine a future where we possess less but are more...
