I was so happy today at work...well, I'm always happy...then I get the breaking news email that another American was beheaded. The news ruined the rest of my day. I held back tears. I hurt so much inside...as though that American was related to me. My deepest condolences to the family.
Why are some folks so hung up on chemistry on the first day you meet? I know it is important, but to bring it up every time he communicates with you gets annoying. Here's a condensed version of our conversation after he asked to meet and I agreed.
He says, we need to talk on the phone before I agree to meet. I think you can tell someone's personality by hearing your voice...see if we have any chemistry. Call me ###-###-####.
I reply, You are too funny. You invite and then you put up your guards. It's ok Sweetheart, your ways are a little too cautious for me. Besides, I think it could take more than one meeting to determine if there are any sparks between two people; as one could be nervous on the first meet. Thank you nonetheless, for considering inviting me. Have a great day.
He replies, You're very welcome. Would you like to talk on the phone?
I thought I brushed him off. He still wants to talk? Hmmmm...
I know chemistry, spark, and connection are very important when meeting someone. Appearance doesn't stay far behind either. But I do believe it takes more than one meeting to determine if there is chemistry. I am also aware that sometimes those first few seconds after meeting can be a big turn off.
What is your opinion?

Hi All! I'm doing the Ice Bucket Challenge tomorrow at work, along with about 15 other co-workers. I'm very excited. We have an employee that has ALS...we're doing it for him. Has anyone been challenged/nominated? Did you accept and meet the challenge?
I don't get it! I have two friends that are unemployed. One, since December 2013; the other, since April 2014. The December person, refuses to accept a position paying less than what she was making at her last job. She remains unemployed with no health benefits. smh. The April person, claims that the market is very slow in his field. Mind you, his wife has been unemployed for 7 years; and they have two small children, as well a mortgage. The April person also seems to not want to work, if not in his field. Is this normal thinking when unemployed?
I think not.

Does anyone have any fun hobbies? My hobby is photography. I just love it. I'm still new to it. I didn't know how expensive it was going to be. Regardless, I love it.
