Hi Itchy...I agree with you...many women would prefer to open doors themselves and what not. So far, this guy has been in the minority. The majority of the dates I've gone on, the men have been true gentlemen. Can't expect all men to be alike.
Hi MimiN. I agree...have dinner with the guy. You never know, there may be sparks and maybe a second date can be set. Of course, don't go with a negative attitude. Just do it! Much luck!
I went through that...it was a 4 year LDR, although we saw each other frequently...the LDR was getting to him and the fact that he couldn't find a job in Maryland...sure it broke my heart, , but I had to let go and wished him well. Why should one person stay miserable in a relationship? I got over it...and am very happy.
How about a CD with his favorite music from back in they days? Older people really appreciate listening to music from their era...brings back fond memories.
Lindsy...we have many illegals in the DC metro area. There's a section in Maryland called Langley Park...when the illegals arrive in Maryland, most likely they'll end up there...living in an apt. or home whereas many share the home...find a job and within a few years relocate; as their financial situation has improved. Many qualified for public assistance. I don't get it. How is that possible? We sure are a giving country. Don't get me wrong...I do feel for them. Well Obama is not focusing on immigration reform now...he has too much on his plate.
Hi Lindsy I must confess...while my three children were in high school, they received lots of mailings from the recruiting offices of every branch. What did I do? I would tear up those recruiting promotions and trash them. When the recruiters visited their school and they'd come home talking about it...I would direct their attention to thinking about college. I am a proud American, love my country and have the highest regard for our servicemen/women. I just do not want my children going to war. I know it will be their decision in the end, but I'll try to convince them otherwise. I hope that doesn't make me a bad mom!
Gentleman...
Itchy...yuck!! I bet he thought he was doing everything right...NOT!
