Insanity is like a raging wild fire that most of us have found simplistic ways to detour around. But every now and then we all tend to dance a little too close to the fire. It's the little things that set it off. When everything, put together as a whole, bends your mind for just a fraction of a moment and sends you tumbling into the depths of pure madness. It generally leaves as quickly as it comes, but for that moment, you're dangling there on the brink of insanity mumbling to yourself, running your hands through your hair, tears welling in your eyes, pure fire running through your veins. We've all been there and most have returned unharmed.
In the past few weeks I have become acutely aware of how fragile life is and how we, of able body, take for granted the simple things we do every day that take no effort or thought. How we tend to dwindle our days away sitting infront of the television or computer or work way too many hours at a job that gives us too little satisfaction and reward. We push friends and potential love away, because it interfers with or gets too close to our emotional stability. We pass up golden opportunities to make a difference in another persons' life because it doesn't fit into our schedule at the time.
We are all born into the process of death and we should live our lives keeping that in mind. I will never again dismiss the notion of "love at first sight"....I will never again look at the sun rise or sun set as ordinary. I will hold each minute of my life as if it were my last.
I have always disected and over-thought every aspect of my life as if it were some great riddle needing to be solved. There is no secret...there is no puzzel. Life is what it is....right infront of your face. Every day is a new day...you have the ability to make it better or worse. It is up to you to make it what you want it.
Thus is my life.
Everybody says "How do you know when it's real"....now that I am bordering the aspect of "real" I can tell you with 100% accuracy....if you have to ask the question, it's not real. You just know...it's something in your gut...in your heart...in your entire being that says..."HOLY HELL....SO THIS IS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE".......you just know. Don't try to over-analyze it....just let it flow...let it be...and never expect the person to be perfect...just expect him/her to be perfect for you.
