2. There will be a move toward a worldwide, unified monetary system. The US dollar will be hit bad and it will take years for it to recover.

3. There will be a new drug that will be popular with teenagers that will break down resistance and will encourage s*xual activity.
4. Homosexual and lesbian ministers will be ordained and this will be heralded as a new breed of pioneer.
5. There will be nude dancing in church, but this will never be widespread.

Our first time & I fell asleep!

The setting was perfect, relaxing on crisp fresh, white sheets with lots of cushions, the mosquito nets down, the blinds closed. Soft music in the background, everything was set for a relaxing hour or so.
....................."are you ready now" was the question....'yes', I replied nervously as I nestled into the cushions.

My first sensation was a blinding headache followed by such pain in my eyes as if you had your fingers pressing hard on them.
The head pain subsided as you moved gently towards my neck & shoulders. I relaxed even more then, taking controlled, deep breaths & fell into such a deep contentment that I felt myself drifting, all I was aware of was the gentle sound of the music in the background.

I think it was at this point I started to drift into sleep, I was aware at one stage of my hips hurting as if they were being stretched & my leg muscles were being pulled. Nothing else mattered, just the sensations of the present & the music lulling me into deeper relaxation & sleepiness.

Forty five minutes later I was slightly aroused by the words "I've finished now, are you awake?" I couldn't even answer, such was the depth of my relaxation & contentment .......................

I woke an hour later only by the dog crying to go out for a walk & then you phoned me to discuss the treatment...............

The Invitation

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon, I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day and if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure , yours and mine and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”

It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

My goodness, that was moving tonight!

This is really only for the UK audience & those of us who are old enough to follow Corrie. I haven't for years but got back into it lately, mainly through lack of anything else to do really.

Very passe to watch Corrie, I know, but my goodness that was some fantastic episode tonight, extremely well acted & a moving & sensitive story line. Well done Corrie!

Dodgy time to write my first blog!

what with the full moon & all that & not to mention the battling that's going on here......... darn it, I reckon I might need a suit of armour!
Anyway, after watching the blogs here for a while I know the PC way of introducing myself, as in --- my first blog should be entitled 'Are there any real men here?', but nah, I know that already, I've had some lovely mail from 3 real ones already

Soooo, second blog question..... 'Is this a scammer do you think, blah, blah..?'
