well i wish you all could sit on my porch..
feel the late afternoon sun ..listen to the gentle sound of the wind chimes..the magpies..ducks down on the river..crows up in the trees..
every once in awhile a truck comes down the highway.
been looking at the hill south of me..a lady friend once sat on my porch and asked if i had ever walked to the river or the ridge..i told her no.. bad knees..bad back...think i will try to walk it sat..if the weather is good... me and kindle..
the river is a 1/4 mile away...the san juan peaks..45 minutes to the west..sangre de cristo.(blood of christ)...just a jump to the north west..
it is one beautiful day ..gentle breeze..60 degrees.. feels like 78...in the sun...been off work a few days..need to take the rest of the week off.. its given me a lot of time to think.. just me ..kindle..charlene ..good tunes and coffee.. and the beauty outside..
been homebound since last thursday..went to town to see the surgon this afternoon..got an ice cream.. back up the canyon..
well it was nice of you to visit.. gotta go..sun is going down...kindle and i want to go look at the elk ..big herd 30-60 or so ..just up the river come down at sundown from the ridge..

however........
i was brought up old school..back when folks had manners.. and there were things you said and did and things you did not ...
i do not know the correct protocol for this net dating...but it seems to me if you take the time to contact someone then the least they should do is write back and say no thank you..
supposedly we are all on here to meet someone.. so you can not very well say you dont have time to respond..or you dont want to bother.. if either of those is true ..i would think you should be else where..
in short i think if you get a response good manners would dictate a response back..

ah..........for the days of the past.. or maybe its still the same...i am just decades to advanced........
at least when i check out the bars/clubs...community events..concerts..... there seems to be ..kids..and that is all.. just kids... where are all the old folks.........bed????
so on the net i go.. live to far up in the hills to go to town that often anyway...
after being on yahoo for a couple of months last year...and match for 3 months..this year... whew!!!! has my learning curve jumped.... i much prefer the old meet and greet in the local brewery... at least you really get to see what your into.. and you get a ..hi or goodbye right up front..non of this talking on the net for a couple of weeks and then getting the cold shoulder... or the lets get together next week.. ????? huh!!! not in this life time.!!!!.. i guess that is like the old give him the wrong phone number thing of years..past...!!!
oh well i guess you have to roll with what you have.. who would have ever guessed it would come to this
