Hi,
I quit smoking recently. I thought I'd start a thread about ways we can improve ourselves. Post anything you like from the best form of meditation to training your mind.
My contribution is a DVD by Allen Carr "The easyway to stop smoking" add water and excercise.
Hi I just watched an Allen Carr DVD "The easy way to stop smoking"
No, I'm not a representative. I hate smoking and having been trying to quit for years and I think I've found the answer.
Hence I want to share it and give you just an insight into what you can expect.
Basically, I've known about the majority of what the DVD covers for a while but was missing that key to unlock becoming a non smoker.
As I write this I can tell you that I had my final ciggarette about 15 minutes ago, I binned all the tobacco in the house.
I know I will have cravings but I am ready to embrace them for what they are. I've always believed that if you can last a few days you are half way there. Nicotine is the most addictive and poisonous drug (more so then cocaine, grass, heroine etc).
A little tip: When you do get around to watching it and I highly recommend it.
Watch it at night before you go to sleep, I feel you get a head start then.
Get a couple sheets of paper, one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen. Write the text "STARVE YOUR MONSTER and feel good about it!"
This is just to remind you of your primary goal again in the morning and remember the simple facts.
Good LUCK I'll keep you posted on my progress twice a day for the next couple of days. If you watch it and have any questions email me.
