Drea111 NO. Replacing cigarettes is the wrong train of thought. You have to believe before you quit that you are not depriving yourself of anything.
Sure its good to be able to do things like jogging and why not jog but dont think of it as a replacement.
By the way i've been walking for 2hrs everyday just to get some fresh air, some excercise and appreciate being a non smoker.
It is now the third day and I can't say I have felt a need to have a cigarette, its simply I have really made a good decision to stop smoking and Im not depriving myslef of anything by doing so.
If you dont believe me look at the type of posts I make and the type of person I am. I wouldnt be recommending this if I didnt think it could help 'you'.
Again, I'm in a rather good mood. Waking up to the "Starve the Monster" A4 sheet isnt as daunting as yesterday, after all i made it through yesterday. Coffee and a nice walk are on the agenda.
I did notice a better mood this morning, I am really excited that I am a non smoker again. Cant wait to reclaim my life bit by bit.
You seem like a well balanced woman. I doubt you will find that in your partner in the same age group but i see you put 18-28 so you should be able to find someone. Just takes time and sometimes happens when you least expect it.
Thanks Angel, yes substitutes are bad, so eating between meals, lolipops etc. I have thought about this also (years of wanting to give up) Water is the safest, our body is made up of mostly water so changing it frequently is a good idea.
SO ANOTHER UPDATE: I went for a two hour midday walk today and I felt great !
So far so good the cravings havent been as bad as i thought they would be. Im almost convinced this is due to the different mind frame. As we speak I am kind of wanting one, so I guess i just have to tell myself, you made the right decision, i am feeling the craving because im killing the monster and i am a non smoker. ( you almost have to picture the monster dieing which helps you feel positive about the cravings).
Thanks for the comments all.
One more night and day for the worst to be over... then 2 weeks later the body expels most of the toxins and I never look back and recliam my life.
Oh so a blog that got deleted which i posted in wasnt delted by admins.. I see but dont care. If someone doesnt respect your opinions dont post in their blogs, oops to late, ill remember for the future :D
I agree, communication is key. True love exists and has nothing to do with keeping secrets, again communication is key. Intellow, some people just like to be in the light as well even if they cant shine, I wouldnt worry about trolls.
So you want to quit smoking ?
