According to the numbers there are 78 million baby boomers and of these, 30% are single. That means a large number of single over fifty people in the world.
One doesn't necessarily meet them in a "bar" as most of us have grown out of hanging our at bars by this age. Grocery stores are out also as I usually buy groceries and am not usually scoping out guys because who knows if they are single or not???
I get approached often by younger men but they are not my cup of tea so I opted for online dating. According to the statistics...1 out of 5 over fifty couples have met by on line dating services.
I remember a blog that did not last long on this site about why does this site have sooo many "old ladies" on this site and how this site should only be for the younger singles....but I see so many singles over fifty here and on other sites... though I only belong to one other site and I do not know why-I usually enjoy blogging a majority of time.
So, do not give up hope if you are over fifty and single or close to fifty...there's a whole lot of other's just like you!!! Send flowers....say hi! and put yourself out there!!!

Well, after a LONG time on dating sites and I have yet to meet anyone.....I was chatting with a few different men from time to time but I think I do not have the heart for it anymore. I was besotted by a man from Texas...but that is no more...So, I will continue to blog and reject all the scammer's mail, of course, but I do not have the heart to search anymore. If I happen to meet someone in real life..that would be ok but I give up hope on meeting anyone here..
