To anyone out there who is spending time reading my blog at this moment...Damn it, you've made it this far...
What does everyone out there think about our US Supreme Court allowing corporations unlimited campaign influence through financial contributions? Our country, regardless of what the Rush Limbaugh set says - votes democratic, in a democratic process.
The Electoral College - that bastion of antiquity and uselessness - also needs to go away.
Far away.
One man, one vote - and things like the 2000 Presidential Election won't happen again. I am not a Democrat, just to set the record straight. I am a regular American, and I have no party affiliation (like most of us). I vote for the person.
If we - as a nation - continue on this road of political apathy, we are going to lose more - and more - and more - of our individual freedoms.
It's already happening.
Our Supreme Court (thank you, Dubyuh, for appointing Scalia) is supposed to have no political motivation for their efforts in the Judicial Branch.
Corporations are getting 'welfare' from the US Government. It is now going to get worse... and the people out there who really need the help won't get it. Same old s***, different day - huh?
America - we need to say something to our elected officials, and stop this cancer from eating away at our political system that our Founding Fathers painstakingly prepared for this nation's future generations.
Freedom.
That's what's at stake.
