Gospel Music

Gospel Music....is it for entertainment or is it for praise and worship? Maybe both? As I Christian, and a born again believer, I believe gospel music should be for praise and worship.

I do like some of the comtemporary Gospel music that is out there. I am beginning to appreciate the older hymns and am beginning to enjoy these more and more as time goes on.

I also like southern gospel music. One southern gospel music program I enjoy watching is Precious Memories. I watch it every Saturday when I can. Bill Gaither hosts it. It is on for one hour. I even went to a Gaither Family concert six years ago and it was one of the best concerts I ever attended.

I like Ave Maria like most people do - but if you can ever get your hands on Vyatcescav Kagen-Paley's cover you'll be entranced dear lady. Another all time favourite is Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the sky.

Come before his presence with singing I to love the old songs and hymns they are prayers all wrap up in music and many were born out of adversity and heartache and pain I am old school and will always be when I cant find the words to pray I can just sing a song that speaks the sentiments of my heart angel heart wings
Gospel music contains or must contain the Gospel about Jesus Christ. Praise and worship music is of course to praise and worship God and Jesus Christ.
