Don't Stop If You Are Alone

It's a song written and composed by Sri R N Thakur....

***
Lyrics Summery ....
***

" If no one response to your calls ,
Don't stop... Continue your journey all by yourself...

If no one shows the courage to speak up ,
Don't stop... Speak up your heart and soul all by yourself...

It no one cares to take a look back ,
If they all refuse to accompany ,
Don't stop... Carry on walking on thorns all by yourself .....

If no one holds a light ,
If all doors are shut on a stormy night ,
Don't stop... Set your own soul on fire , the fire within you will lighten your path all by yourself , no matter how deep the darkness is.... "

The War is not outside... It's within You...
The Power is not outside... It's within You...
If you can face yourself , be sure , you are ready to face all the challenges in world...
If you be able to conquer yourself , no one else will be able to defeat you ever...

Don't wait for anyone to help you...
Don't expect that anyone will help you...
Remember , It's always You , You can be Your Worst Enemy yet You can be Your Best Friend...

Don't stop if you are Alone...
You just need to be all by Yourself...

-not so many places to walk alone in Kolkata, as I remember it....

cool wine
Tanzila > "Carry on walking on thorns all by yourself " reminds me of the flower God left, called rose.
was a very old arabian chant, called "The song of the rose"

That's why it's needed to start to walk alone more !! That's the challenge !! wine

I never knew about that before... Can't find it online either... But I guess it must be a wonderful verse ... Thank you so much for the information... thumbs up
Yeah, I walked the streets of Kolkata at Divali 2011.... smoke from fireworks hanging heavy like a mist.
-still, while walking back at the hotel around three in the morning, only a pack of dogs followed me.
-and I walked alone.... in a city with eighteen million people....
-weird feeling.

I know how you may have felt...
I've walked alone here at 3am too !! handshake
Tanzila > can not be found online, i posted it in past few times, or some of the stanzas (had around 18), and the websites were gone, over time. it would be nowhere to be found, therefore, except old books. i presently don't have the book anymore in my library, and the notebook with the song, when was made, 20-25 years ago, was teared apart by times...
"Eu sunt oaspatul ce-alunga
Iarna si aduce vara;
Ci ma trec c*m trece-n noapte
Umbra unui duh, usoara"
one of the stanza, as i remember it in romanian language translated from arabian.
"I am the guest who drives away
Winter and it brings the summer;
But i wither away, passing by into the night
Like a shadow of a soul, with gentleness..."

Woww !! That's really a beautiful one !! wow
Thank you so much for sharing it... thumbs up
Tanzila > i think in arabian language this was a ghazal. for are similarities. for example in a stanza, saying:
"Eu sunt cel pe care, iata!
L-a-indragit privighetoarea;
Ci, cu toata-aceasta fala,
Mult necaz 'mi-ndura floarea."

in english, from romanian,
"I am the one who, look!
The nightingale loved it'
But with all this glory,
My flower embraces misery"

another partial stanzas:
"Mi s-a pus candva un nume
Mandru: floarea diminetii;"

RO/EN:
"I once had a name
Of nobility: the morning's flower"

/
Full stanza:

"Port culoarea ce-infloreste
Al iubitelor obraz,
Iar iubitii-si pun ca mine
Haina scumpa de atlaz"

RO/EN:
"I carry the very color which bloom
The sweetheat's cheeks (women),
While their beloved ones wearing like me (men)
The purple robe of nobility"

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you, its only seed
It's the heart, afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It's the dream, afraid of waking
That never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul, afraid of dying
That never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the spring becomes the rose

I think this song is put well to the music and singer, but I prefer Evergreen to it.

Love, soft as an easy chair
Love, fresh as the morning air
One love that is shared by two
I have found with you
Like a rose under the April snow
I was always certain love would grow
Love ageless and evergreen
Seldom seen by two
You and I will make each night a first
Every day a beginning
Spirits rise and their dance is unrehearsed
They warm and excite us
'Cause we have the brightest love
Two lights that shine as one
Morning glory and midnight sun
Time we've learned to sail above
Time won't change the meaning of one love
Ageless and ever evergreen
hug you'll never walking alone

This was written by Rodgers and Hammerstein for an American musical called Carousel.Later it crossed the pond, was song by Gerry and the Pacemakers.
When I searched for the lyrics, I was not surprised that the inspirational song was selected for talent shows by singers, but this was amazing to see how far it has gone to be sung so many ...as an anthem.

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Tanzila > you're welcome.
plenty paths for one to take,
as memories remain...
Themirror

I like to read all your poems too... But I don't comment there..

As I think , some places are not for making noises ... Some things are not for analysis or discussion ...

They are for just to feel and realising with quiet and calm silence...

Tanzila > it is alright. if i wanned comments, i would have joined facebook, making groups or being part of. therefore, i did not posted poetry or prose for comments. if some conversations occurs, this is a secondary or tertiary aspect. my priority was to share only. for comments or discussions only, i posted in forum, here - and even so, purpose is to communicate along.
but thank you, for good intentions.
Silence, yes...
all are for troubled souls, to find a soothe.
It is indeed, more rewarding, a silent smile, or a sigh, than a comment in a rush, or just for the sake of saying something.
Tanzila > i told you in past about one other poet, Kabir.

"Still the body

by Kabir

English version by Sushil Rao
Original Language Hindi

"still the body
still the mind
still the voice inside

in silence
feel the stillness move

friends
this feeling
cannot be imagined"
and this one, a new one to introduce to you,
