I love my car too...

I just wondered when I walked to my car this morning. Not only did - what only could have been a pterodactyl - crap on the roof of my German tank, but I had also parked it right underneath a chestnut trea. And you know what chestnuts do when you park a car underneath...

Well. It's old. And lately I find my eyes constantly drawn to its much slimmer and shinying successor - a staggering 17 years younger BMW 3 series - and can't help thinking that it might be over soon...

It's not that I don't love him anymore, you see. You can't just say that after 50.000 kilometers. And I swear, I never looked at any Mercedes (did at the Audi TT couple of times, but was completely honest about
that. And you know what they say: You can get an appetite anywhere, but dinners are taken at home).

I've driven Off the roads, skinny japanese vehicles, a petite francaice, and a Volkswagen Bug that let me down on a crowded junction with a humungus bus honking in my rear view mirror... (yes, I was hurt too).

But then this blue fully automatic big boy came along, making my life so much easier. Always gets his engine humming, doesn't smoke, doesn't smell, wasn't worn down, looks shiny and new, and is fast as any young car. Alright he did drink a bit, 1:8 kilometers but you know: you've gotta love them.

Anyway. Time passed by and suddenly he began to make strange ticking noises. Apparantly one of it's cyllinders didn't work as supposed. I did all I could, but the mechanics just sayd it was a matter of time... we just had to make the best of the time that was given to us.

So we stopped making long journeys, we drove a little less other cars of
the road then we'd usually loved to, and stopped more often for an oil refreshment and anti-freeze. Since we couln't afford to run out anymore.

And when I saw him this morning. Poo all over him, dents and little twigs stuck between the windscreen wiper. I just feel I should put an end to it, you know. And what hurts me most (straight in the wallet) is that his drinking has gone up to 1:6 kilometers...

Alright people, you can tell that I'm desperate. Obviously I love him... but tell me what to do...

I've uploaded a picture just so you can see him.

Bye, Ederlezi

Very poetic! Trade Him in for a newer model. It is time, and frankly you deserve it!
