The Year 2012

So someone on my friends list, on Myspace, posted a bulletin titled stargazing, in this bulletin it said to do a google on the year 2012, so I did. I did some reading on the finding of this and was dumbfounded about what I read. According to the Maya calendar they believed that the world would end on Dec. 21, 2012. Of all the dates put forth by prophets and cultures for a doomsday, this is one with an authentic almost eerie feel to it. If you want, you can google it yourself and read the information about what is going to happen on that date. In short there is a lot of scientific evidence that the poles with be reversed. The South Pole will flip and become the North Pole. The earth will rotate until it's upside down. You can imagine what this is going to do for life on earth, as we know it. Now I know there all kinds of whack jobs out there foretelling doomsdays and I tend to just pay no attention to them, but this one for some reason just rings true. We know so much about space and yet know a faction of that of the place we call home. We can go millions of miles into other galaxies, but can't even explore the bottom of our oceans. Like I said I don't subscribe to all the other doomsday hearsay but this on got me thinking.

So many things running through my mind at this point in time about a lot of stuff going on in my life and I read this. I don't believe in accidents, there are no coincidences in life and I find that when you are looking for answers that they come from the most unlikely of places. Maybe this is due to the fact that your just looking for some resolve in the things that are happing to you and its so overwhelming that you will take anything that will make it better as an answer or a way to explain it. Or maybe, its just gods why of pushing you in the right direction. Whatever the case maybe, what I read definitely made me think about my life and what it has become.

WOW!!!! Did I waste a lot of time trying to figure out what it is that I wanted out of life when I could have been just living. Why do we find it necessary to be with just one person? I know that our egos, the way society says we have to be, the things that you see and read, the things that you learn from your parents, the past experiences, makes us do and behave the way that we do. Why do we let our walls block the experiences that we could be having? Is that not what life is all about; the experiences that you have throughout you're life? I want to experience more! I want to feel more! I want to love more! What can I do to make the experiences more fulfilling? Have I done enough to become the person I want to be? If not, what more can I do? Why are there locks on 24 hours stores? Why do we kill each other over stupid shit like land, money and whose god is right? These are just but a few of the things that went through my head when I looked up 2012 on google, check it out and see what you think and feel.

I guess that believing that the world will end in your life time is not all that bad of an idea, its a good wake up call to put things in perspective, all I know is that from looking up the year 2012 on the internet has made me want to just live life as much as I can and experience as much of it before it or I are gone. Life is to short to be angry, sad, depressed, upset, guilty, hurt or any of them bad feeling that you get, don't get me wrong you must experience these as well in order to fully appreciate the good but just don't dwell to long on them or you will miss out on some really great experiences and feelings life as to offer.
