Age Is Only A Number. Ha!!!

How you people make me laugh. Age is only a number, what absolute nonsense. What, am I supposed to feel younger than I am?
Am I supposed to go running through fields of daisies? lol. omg..get real. Young people just don't know. People that live without pain, just don't know. You don't know how lucky you are, to be able, to enjoy life. To be able to walk for hours. To be able to challenge your body to respond without knowing it is a challenge. To climb a hill, to swim, to play baseball and any sport you put your mind to.
Oh! age is a number alright, the older you are, the less likely you are able to do what you could the day before.
I have lived with pain most of my life. Long gone are the days of a child when I could run faster that anyone I knew. Gone are the days of not knowing the face of pain.
When I was 16, I was at the boyfriends house and his Mom, bless her soul, got 2 hot water bottles. I put them on my legs. And she wrapped me in a wool blanket. I was in such misery. Sixteen, and the pain had only begun. Now I am 59..the pain has settled to a dull ache, a constant dull ache. Oh, there are other things wrong with me now. More serious illnesses.
Feeling sorry for myself...your damn right. I don't pity myself every day, but some days I think I am entitled to express how shitty I feel. And today is one of those days. Are there better days to come? Maybe one or two but that is it. So don't tell me age is only a number. Not today it isn't.
