Code Word: TRAVEL - A woman's favorite activity?

Is it only me or has any other fellas noticed how many women list "Travel" as their most favorite activity?

Uhhh... Is traveling free, now?!? And some even list "travel a lot"! A lot?!? What in the hell does that mean?!? How much does "a lot" cost? One woman even wrote the word "Love" in front of it. She looked great, but damn!!! Love!?!

Hey, I like to travel too. But the last time I checked, travel agencies and airlines were still taxing credit cards with hefty sums, before you could go on a trip.

Actually, I've figured out that "Travel" is the code word for "man must have deep pockets" along with the code word "financially independent" (the latter being of course more obvious).

Quite frankly, mine are not that deep... ...Hey, I'm working on it!:-)! I want to see Europe. Wait... I'm in Europe:-)

I can understand women not wanting to meet broke men and this reference to travel isn't meant to reflect that a woman is gold digging in all cases. That would be unfair. But give me a break! Has anyone ever heard of building the nest together?

Because of the above, I probably should just go ahead and cancel my CS account. I'll definitely get less mails now than already do... ...And brother that ain't many!

But since I'm an eternal optimist, I'll hang around a bit to see if there's a woman that possibly likes me (who I also may like) who lists "travel" last or at least in the middle of her list of favorite activities.

One woman wrote "chess" as being her favorite activity. My pockets can handle that. I've been writing, but she hasn't responded.

Wish me luck!

P.S (Can you put a P.S in a blog?... Screw it. Its my blog.)
Ladies, I'm also open for tennis, dancing and a host of other activities that one can engage in without necessary leaving the planet. And yes, I will travel, but can we change "a lot" to "moderate"?:-)?

Out here...

"Words of love, soft and tender, won't win a girl's heart anymore. If you love her, then you must send her somewhere where she's never been before! Worn-out phrases and long engages won't get you where you want to go."
Cetti, I don't believe any of that. I was simply quoting a song about women who love to travel, called "Words of Love" by The Mamas and the Papas.
Its Good to see that men are waking up from the charmed sleep spell that women have put on us men,but I agree that it is a rarity that a man will find a woman who is truly interested and physically attracted to a man other,, than what he can give and do for her,we live in an age where women are as equal as men in the financial sense,So why is it that when you seem to meet that one woman who seems to be the one, then you meet and somewhere along the line they become disinterested because you don't have what they REALLY what, and it is more than just YOU,..So beware of the succubus.devil
Ethos, my apologies. Need to expand music listening horizons:-)

And luckylover it sounds as though your luck hasn't been so good. Or am i misinterpreting your statement. No judgement here. I'm not exactly batting a 1000.

But I had one good experience with someone I actually met in person. She stayed with me for a few days and we did a little sightseeing. Nothing deeply romantic evolved. But it was fun. She was genuine. And yes, she liked to "travel" too, but her job pays for it..:-)
I'm one of those women who travels a lot and has expensive hobbies. I finance everything myself. A lot, in my case, means that I live in places for 3-6 months. Saves a lot in taxes and I get to see the world. Do I need a man to finance my hobbies? No, not at all, but one who could finance his own life would be nice. Travel does not have to be expensive. If you want to go into a hotel, eat out a lot or do the "tourist" thing, then yes, it can get pricy, but that is your choice. Many ways to skin a cat, you know.
:-D Sorry about your kahoonas laugh Suitcases are already full and there's a long line of applicants for a free ride. Take a raincheck ;-D
I have to agree with scubadiva that travel can be done inexpensively. IE I just came back from the Yucatan for 10 days. I spent less than $700 for my villa, about $40 for groceries, ate out once and the bill was less than $5. The villa came with bikes and that was our transportation. I have my own snorkel gear and was a 2min ride to the lagoon.I don't stay in tourist areas, I eat at local restaurants and cook myself and I don't go for a 5 star lodging. So, what about the men that say they like to travel and do not own a passport. What about us women that have foot the bill to take our partner??? Call me a fool, I guess, but not a gold digger.
Itravel, what's with you and Scuba?!? She dealt a crippling blow to my "kahoonas" (as she put it... ize callz them ballz.:-)), refuses to include me in her travel plans and now you show up with a baseball bat!!

I'm down, already!!!! But..... I'm not out!:-) Because deep in my heart, I know embedded in the code words "I love to travel" there are women out there searchin for me gold. Hardy harr?!? Ok. maybe not my gold. I don't have any.

And Itravel, it's obvious, if you did pay for the whole trip, you took the wrong guy!! I'm really disappointed. Why didn't you ask me? I would have paid for my half. I'm not a gold digger either.:-)
i dont have a passport, but i travel inside my country, since theres so many beautifull place in my country, y should i go out.

i can go to bali less $ 200 dollar for a few days, n i go for work to make my fullfill my hobbies :P
