Unconditional Love

What ever happened to the principle of unconditional love? Does it truly exsist. Does anyone marry for love anymore. Why have people become so fickle when the words I love You are mentioned? Unconditional Love means I Love You in spite of your faults, no one is perfect and we're all flawed to one degree or another. It means to unselfishly give love without the expectation of reward, to love an individual simply because you can. Unconditional Love doesn't keep a record of wrongs nor is it selfseeking, it gives and gives and gives of itself until sometimes it hurts but it never gives up or gives in. It trust and it believes in spite of what it sees, this is true love. Another word for unconditional love would be better described as SACRIFICE......... So if you're not willing to sacrifice in a relationship then you'll never experience the principle of Unconditional Love. I still believe that somewhere out there, there is someone looking to experience this principle and I won't give up until I've found her.

Oh yes unconditional love is the best. But never the less One still needs to be loved as well. Its is something that comes from both sides in a realationship I think. If it is Just One who is doing all the work in a realtionship then usually that realationship will always fail. you would have to be divine and not "need" any other human being in order to be the only one self sacrificing...,.Just my opinion...In a realtionship it is both parties that have to make that committment for one another otherwise one doing all the work and never being loved in return just wouldn't work out...angel You can still unconditionally love someone but that doesn't mean you can have a realationship with that person as two...Love needs to be unconditionally returned in a realtionship between 2 people...
you are so right about what you were talking about with unconditional love...i was supposed to be married august 1st, but had to call off the wedding...and despite everything he has done to me and my family, I cant stop helping him, seeing him, and being there for him. and you know how everyone says that you will always love your children/parents unconditionally? i think it depends on who the person is that is exemplifying the (unconditional) love, because i really feel it can exist with anyone....
