Why can't dating be for fun?

I think of dating as trying to get to know someone. I don't understand how some people can go on a date and then think they are that persons partner for life. I hate to hurt feelings, but if the chemistry is just not there? How do you stop it from getting to where you have to hurt someones feeling.

Please advise a newly single man that is in no hurry to marry again.

take the next 5 years off and try again , you will have a better mind for it after all the emotional hurt has gone

Some people get so used to being with someone that they are ready to latch onto the first nice one to come along. Taking time off would be good advice so that when you do date you will be open to commit to the right person. cool

don´t jump from relationship to relationship ... take time to enjoy being single. Once you can´t stand the status and in your life appeares the right girl... go for it again... but never compare ...laugh
