I would say keep going with messaging people on here, participating in all that CS has to offer as someone could be attracted to whatever you participate in. Perhaps contribute to the music forums or post a movie you like in the movie section etc. As regards going out, bars and discos etc can be ok, but if you are interested in groups like, for instance, hiking, sporting, hobbies, etc. Here in the UK there is a branch of a USA organisation where the members themselves organise meet-ups for cinemas, theatres, vacations, sporting events, etc., etc., so you could try that as well, or perhaps there is a CS meet-up in your area. Although remember, it is when you are not looking that love comes along. I have had that with me, and I know of others that have said the same. Good luck.

try to "switch" to some other occupation or hobby.. maybe sounds too simple but it helps!
