Actually u can almost see it as an extra violation; the element of lyeing in order to do more of the sort.
Just empty phrases if you don't know the meaning of it.
So true scraffie, such an empty phrase nowadays. My second son who is quite rebellious is so quick to say 'I'm sorry' when ever he does anything wrong. And when he says he is sorry, I just roll my eyes...
I always say, thank you no matter what, even if people are rude.
I noticed it makes them think about there self.
The same as the Americans say, "excuse me" if they want to pass you, they might not mean it all the time but at least you know they want to get trough. In Holland they just push you aside first and then say excuse me, makes no sence to me.
People in India are very respectful to others I,ve heard
