Deceiving Love...

Whats it with guys and lies??? he act as if he likes you, makes you feel like you're the only one... and then tells you later on that that there is actually another girl in his life and that he loves her and that he just LIKES you and would rather keep you as a friend?!?? I'm giving up on love... sigh

Parti is right. The player is the most evil kind of man, Best treat all men as if they might be players then when you prove they are not , then allow yourself to get serious. That way you wont be dissolusioned .

... I instead would start by assuming that everyone is a genuine human being ... of course, keeping an eye out for signs of the contrary ... if u deem this person is not what he claims to be... then ... of course... act on it...

If u start by assuming that he's a fraud/player (or whatever), you'll end up too much on the defensive in the crucial initial phases of your rel ... and that can easily kill a potentially good rel before it actually has time to blossom!

My suggestion would be you keep your guard up, but dont tell the next guy you meet, just keep things light and dont give your heart and emotions to a guy untill he proves he is "really" in love with you.

Too many women assume whatever a guy tells them is the truth, then they get emotionally involved and then hurt when they find out the guy lied.

You can still be soft, but just dont trust too soon.

thanks everyone for all your advices... They've all made me feel better and I have now decided not to give up on love, but rather try out each of the approaches and see how it all goes...
