Rubbernecking…..

Yesterday, traffic was so bad….I thought there must have been a horrendous accident somewhere in front of me. It took 45 minutes to reach the scene ….only to realize…the crash was on the opposite of the highway! There should have been no reason the side of the road I was on was backed-up….except…..people had to turn and stare at the cars….ambulances…flashing lights…..on the other side….as they passed by. LOL….What is in human nature to provoke this fascination? Is anyone else guilty of rubbernecking? Have you ever felt the urge…but resisted it??

Thanks Pinkpoetress....it is disturbing to see the carnage after an accident. Perhaps Hammock is right...it gives them something to gossip about at the office or dinner table?dunno
