Talking point

I think that our lack of respect is really our loss. Older generations can teach us so much about life. They grew up in a world where people trusted each other, where their word meant something and where hard work was valued. It seems like one of the failings of our respecting is that we do not value the elderly the way that we should.Question for today blog.dunno dunno angel

David : wave I respect older generation. I can teach from older generations definetly. I learnt a lot of from my grandparents. But trust me, if someone is all his/ her life bad character, so I never respect this person, neither for his / her age and see no reason to teach from somebody like this. JMO.bouquet
Agree to a certain extent, Respect should be earned, age, money, title should not come into it. This is a two way thing though as older people can learn from the young too.teddybear
David, not just a talking point, but also a sore point for me.
The respect issue, we have to learn to respect before we can be respected, and the best place to start is with our elders this seems to be sorely lacking in the world today. handshake

Salam David................I totally agree David , respect is where it begins respect is the path to peace , but respect should be for everybody . Even for those who do not like us, or criticise us .or are different from us ....... the trick is to have respect for those even who do not respect us, that is being truly respectful .....Saskia
