Maybe I'd prefer watching as I didn't know Harry Potter until I saw the movie instead of reading the novels blushing grin

Once I read a novel with a title of (if I am not mistaken) "Woman"...it was based on history back in Roman Byzantine era about Empress Theodora, I liked it love Not sure if it was ever translated into a movie like "Quo Vadis" was smile
i prefer to bothyay
David, I would prefer the book, mostly !
and forgive me for scare you, wasn't nice from me the other day i was jk hug
In a novel, you get to read about emotions and thoughts and history, all the hidden stuff that cannot be put into movies.

I also like the movies as it puts faces to the names in the story.

However usually movies are a pale imitation of the book. The only movie I have ever seen that was word for word based on the book was 'The Andomeda Strain' (possibly showing age a little here laugh

But I think if I had to go onto a desert island and could take either my books or my films (said desert island having electricity, DVD player and TV) I would take my books......

Question, for those of you who have seen Harry Potter and the deathly hallows pt2, Why does Narcissa say 'Draco' to Harry when he has just been hit with the killing curse by Voldemort??

This is just one of the many things that are explained in the books, but not the film. And for those of you who would like to know the answer.... Get The Book laugh
