In the UK we tend to pay about £1.29 for a single 500mm bottle, although some supermarkets may have special offers such as buy one, get one free.

For two litre bottles, my local supermarket charges £1.79 although they do have special offer fairly regularly. The last one was buy 2 for £3.00.

In a novel, you get to read about emotions and thoughts and history, all the hidden stuff that cannot be put into movies.

I also like the movies as it puts faces to the names in the story.

However usually movies are a pale imitation of the book. The only movie I have ever seen that was word for word based on the book was 'The Andomeda Strain' (possibly showing age a little here

But I think if I had to go onto a desert island and could take either my books or my films (said desert island having electricity, DVD player and TV) I would take my books......




Question, for those of you who have seen Harry Potter and the deathly hallows pt2, Why does Narcissa say 'Draco' to Harry when he has just been hit with the killing curse by Voldemort??

This is just one of the many things that are explained in the books, but not the film. And for those of you who would like to know the answer.... Get The Book

Could shiness be an attempt at a plural form of shiny, possibly referring to coins of the realm or similar?

So letting out the shinys/shinies/shiness would indicate paying to flirt?

Hmm, not entirely sure, as I am an engineer, not an etymologist.... (long word there, I am out to impress )

Just a thought, but could be completely wrong..... I shall devote as much time and attention to solving this mystery as it deserves.
