Do we need a population control?
The world population rapidly grows,and its getting catastrophic by the time.And what i see is,mostly poor countries people getting more populated.The worse is only poor and uneducated families(or religious families) having many children and those children have very little chanse to get a proper life.Isn't it time for world organizations such as UN,do something about it like working with goverments,to control birth rates?I m just asking? tell us what u think about it?

Jana,i know what u r talking,and i m thinking the same.oh yea if we start to say anything we will be called a names from civilized assoles,u know who.
While other totally "unconscious" are just producing "kids" that will "never" be able to produce for the society!!!
This is the horrendous situation we are living in...it won't carry on like this...it much crash, there is no others way.
Do you know that in UK we are still paying the debts made by the gvt during world war 2 ???
There was even a belief that the more you have children, the merrier you'll be because these children will take some of responsibilities in helping you to raise your kids and all your kids ought to take care of you once you reach your retirement age. Now this belief has been fading away from societies, but another problem to be fixed is to reduce the death rate of mothers who had complications in delivering the babies

We have a world to save!
Yes I agree that nature will sort it out,but untill then people will struggle and die from hunger and desease.Thats how nature will solve the problem.
Something that has been proven is that the more education a person receives the less children they have. In richer developed countries like Sweden,Germany and Japan their populations are actually in the negative. If not for immigration there would be no people left there in three generations.
For those who believe the myth well you can do two things. Have yourself sterilized before every procreating,or visit a country where Euthanasia is legal and make it your final destination.
Some countries do not have pensions for the elderly, so if they have plenty of children taking into an account which die they support their parents until death. In these situations you can not turn round to a few generations and say you will just have to suffer and die with no one to look after you until this situations balances itself.
We are experencing strange weather and so is far east countries. crops have failed for years now.
Food is stockpiled and not given out. this food is stockpiled to keep prices at certain levels so its dog eat dog all the time.
Greed is the name of the game. I also beleive as it has always done since the begining of time nature will balance things if we ourselves play our bit.
I agree with thatcher here. It will regulate itself, but.. that will not be a pleasent experience!
But heck, that's the price we pay for being so undiciplined and unruly.
I wish we could have kept it at around 1 billion like it was around the time my grandfather was born.

In the West we had centuries to culturally evolve with the realities of modern science and development, but much of the World has had these developments forced upon them in just a few short years by the greed of Western capital. It's erroneous to believe they will suddenly and spontaneously adapt a culture that suits the facts of the age.
One solution is that of the Chinese and perhaps even more extreme; draconian measures in law to control the population, even forced sterilisation - this is what will happen if we become more authoritarian and culturally Right wing in society.
The next is to de-industrialise parts of the world that are least likely to adapt to these modern developments. This is a tall order, and I believe Humanity is too greedy to do this(sweatshop labour is highly profitable)- this is what will happen if we overthrow the banking elites and accept a less decadent and more hard working way of life in the developed nations based upon greater self-sufficiency.
The other thing to do is to ignore the issue and do nothing, thus creating a global underclass of billions upon billions - this is what will happen if we maintain the current Liberal mindset.
I guarantee one of these three will occur.
Secondly if those elder people have saved their money they were gonna spend for their many childreen,then they would have a good time when they get older.and thirdly,if u have 1 child he/she will love u more and look after u better.but if u have many childreen they all will think that their brother or sister should take care of u,not him/her.and in the end u'll more likely stay more time alone even when u have many kids.
Some countries that have modest-sized families can afford to have a greater individual carbon footprint and level of resource consumption. Essentially behaving in the modern manner.
Countries that have large families can not afford to consume heavily and need to adhere to a more traditional way of life.
To suggest that all the world must be high-tech and have small families is the greatest and most all-encompassing display of Fascism Humanity has ever known.
We're talking about telling 7 billion people how to live their lives, this is an absolutism, an elitism, a hubris and a Fascism never before seen in the annals of Human history.
But who are we to state that our way of life is better? And would you want to live in a world where no matter where you go everywhere is identical? I personally am happy in the knowledge that at least in some corners of this Earth there is no such thing as a Mcdonalds. Can it be objectively stated that the modern lifestyle of mindless consumerism is superior to say, a rustic, tribal lifestyle?
What is at issue is that many cultures across the globe are not culturally compatible with the modern Western industrial model. Now, they can either be forced to conform culturally with this model or they can allowed self-determination and the freedom to reject this model and live their own way of life.
Countries need a balance of age groups in the population in order for it to survive well. With advanced medical care and science in the west we are all living longer lives . We are having less children so less potential workers, less taxes to pay for the care of elderly etc. Most countries in the west are not even reproducing themselves anymore. Thats why they need immigrants to bear children . Italy used to export people because they could not feed them, there were too many in a poor economic climate , when they were having on average 5/6 kids. Now they are having 1/2 kids. The demographic has changed completely. Even in countries like India , Bangladesh , most educated families now have just 2 kids. In spite of these countries being the most densely populated countries on earth.
When people have nothing else, no hope of a better life , no life , the only life they have is in their children . saskia
