Jesus told the woman caught in the act of adultery, go and sin no more John 8:11.

Jesus first words in his ministry was, repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand Matt 4:17.
John the baptist first words in his ministry was repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand Matt 3:2.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord Rom 6:23.
The wages of sin is spiritual death, for if it was physical death, we would all be dead, for ALL have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Rom 3:23.
REPENTANCE IS NECESSARY FOR ALL PEOPLE, INCLUDING CHRISTIANS, FOR GOD EXPECTS HOLINESS AND OBEDIENCE FROM HIS CHILDREN.
