THE TWO ROOMS
In the deep and private corridors of our heart, there’s a room called the Appreciation Room. It’s where our thoughts go when we experience positive and encouraging things about someone. On this room walls are written kind words and phrases describing the good attributes of this someone like ‘honest’, ‘intelligent’ and ‘nice eyes’ etc.Another competing room next to the one above is the Depreciation Room, which we visit frequently. On it’s walls out of frustration, hurt feelings and unmet expectations among others are written the things that bother and irritate us.
Unfortunately we have the tendency to lay aside our own negative attributes while putting others so called failures under a magnifying glass.
