Saturday 4th April

I am one of many in a huge throng.
My eyes are trained on the plane steps. I can not see him, my heart beats in panic. I turn my back and swivel around on the High heels that are killing my feet. From behind an out of breath voice pours in my ear. I turn around and then I stop.
He's so real it's a shock to see him. It is like looking under a microscope. So much detail I had forgotten with only photographs to remind me. The long lashes, the eyes so piercing blue-that give me the earnest trust-me-I'm a doctor expression. His skin is tanned and freckled....I drink in all of his face, a face I know I am never going to get tired of looking at.
All of it is in front of me, three dimensional, bursting with life. He is here.
Not a ghost, not a photograph, not a psychopath. A loony huge grin creeps across my face. Hello, I say. Hello you he replies wrapping me in his arms. He smells of all things nice and his skin is warm. 'I've been looking for you in the crowd,' he says. Really I reply with a huge grin. 'We have been here forever,' I tell him. 'Really,' he replies. My smile is so wide I must look like a very cheesy Cheshire cat.
'You've changed your hair,' he says, reaching out to touch the ends of it. A shiver goes through me. He pulls me in to his arms and whispers in my ear lt looks better now.
He puts me at arms length saying, 'so you are going to stop running off. 'Definitely,' I reply. Good, I will have no woman off mine buggering off. 'I am not you're women,' I reply.' He gives me I know better smirk and I pull a face. Darling, I love you are so feisty...he simply says and kisses the top of my head.
Then he kisses me fully on the lips and in that split second I am gone.
He fixes me with his sizzling blue stare, tucks my arm in his and simple says,'lets go home.'
