Compulsory Blogging.
This is my first blog - so please be gentle with me!While perusing posts on the blogs, I have noticed how member's personalities become exposed over time. It seems to me, that this sort of interaction is a much better way of getting to know someone, rather than just by profile alone.
Members can hide their true personality in a profile, or even when communicating by email with other members on the site. However, blogging has a way of revealing that which might otherwise be hidden.
With that in mind, would it not be a good idea to make it compulsory, to post at least one blog every couple of weeks/months? That way, other members can read the blogs and find out a lot more about someone they may be interested in. It would certainly weed out the scammers!
Just a thought!

Pieceofcake. Not really. I have a sense of humor and do find somethings funny but I also have a serious side to me too.
It's obvious we can't see one another so it would be kind of hard for me to assess someones humor.
I have a neighbor guy who is so straightfaced/dry sense of humor when he speaks that half of the time I can't tell if he's joking or he isn't.I know he has a sense of humor but like I posted half the time I really can't tell.
Yeah...
Pedal, I took a selfie of my bum...anything wrong with that?
Personally, I wouldn't but only because I'd be afraid that it wouldn't fit the frame!
I think it's part of the fun...when chatting to some "hot" man
But here's one that would work best for bum selfies:
it's very much part of revealing oneself here, no doubt about that
No...the blogs they post seems like bogus, contradicting...doesn't reflect their personality written on their profile at all.
Sometimes, I start to think if they're some kind of nutter or something
Many here write about what they think, their opinions...what they feel...what they did, places they went to...over time to get you make a clearer picture of a person and his personality.
Others here are just difficult to decipher...I usually stay off their blogs for I don't know what they're talking about. Knows so little about them that I find it awkward to post comment in case they'll take it the wrong way
lack of. One big one is, and you heard it, experienced it,
sensed it, is wearing two Faces. That won't change in some,
we all have different outlooks.
I read through it and did a double take on Sols first comment. Consequently I'd like to ask are there rules of etiquette in blogging? If I understood you correctly Sol, part-taking in blogs is cheeky when one does not post blogs?
PAC, I find everyone more or less maintains a persona regardless of what room they are in here.
a free public domain, only the owners of the site own it,
not us. It matters not if one puts up a Blog or post on them.
It is indeed the correct spelling for the Norse goddess of that name or Freyja if you like. My user name is Fraya though
Tiz a good blog i think..
And yes i do think that over time bloggers and blog commentors do reveal more of themselves, and without realising they are doing so quite often.
Blogs posts, forum posts and posts in other areas of the site can serve as a great indicator of ones personality.
And sometimes the picture painted of someone over a length of time differs greatly to the profile write ups. Perhaps.
Congratulations on a succesful blog methinks..
