The Mask

Why do we hide from others who we truly are?
Why do we put on a 'mask'?
To hide our insecurities? To hide our flaws? To impress others?
We all wear this 'mask' on a daily basis. We hide ourselves from the people we love and even the people we hate. Everyone has a different outlook. When we remove this mask, we can find confidence in ourselves. We can be happy being who we are and who we were meant to be without having to be accepted by everyone else. This short film is an example of overcoming the daily struggles of hiding our true selves from the world around. The goal of this short film is to express self-love and empowerment, and becoming content with one's self.
We wear our masks in hope to impress people who, in reality, are not the right people to have in our lives. We gravitate towards the wrong crowd to look
'cool.' We do things that we don't believe in only to be accepted by people we don't care about. Our masks give us comfort and protection from things we don't want to deal with in a given moment.
