Next time do what I do. Demand that they fly to meet you. And make them pay the air fare. That way, the worst that can happen is you get stood up at your local airport, which is a far cry better than being stood up in the Philippines.

good job stevie! as a 52 year old american guy still trying to find a proper woman, that is great news. i am booked to visit thailand in november. i will explore philipnes next. hope i am as lucky as u are. i thought ur profile was a great compliment to ur new bride. hope ur luck continues.

Great post Stevie. The only thing I would like to add for you and Soalive is Asian women both from Philippines and Thailand have generally a family somewhere in the province, as they call in Philippines, or in the village as they call it in Thailand. They start off really nicely but as soon as you become serious with them, they can literally bankrupt you, although the flow of money going out seems small at times. My sincere advice for you is to take time before you marry a philipino or a Thai woman. Enjoy life as a single man. Being single in that region is the most fun part. Regards and enjoy your trip

I disagree with your comment prestidigator1. I think asian girls when it comes to love there really serious and loyal. I came from the philippines but my family here is in holland and my family are always teaching me the good values that what they learned from our ancestors. We don't go for money. Because some of the misinterpretation of the people for example is a filipina girl live in the philippines and fall inlove with a white guy the people will think that they only like the money guy. I totally disagree because when a filipina girl or filipino boy falls in love they don't care if your rich or poor as long as they love you. We know how to takecare of our loved ones that is the reason we our known for being hospitable.

Dear Fidelity, Both Philippine and Thailand are my favorite places. In essence I am in agreement with you about the love part, but it just so happens that many men from other countries somehow get tangled in situations there where they can regret why they went there to find love in the first place. Opinions are just generalizations, and mine is no exception except the fact that maybe I have first hand knowledge of the dynamics when a not so wealthy girl from these regions meets a financially stable foreign men. Family is a very strong part of a girl’s life there and sometime she feels compelled to get resources for them which ultimately have to come from the foreign man’s bank account. It’s an ongoing issue that has no permanent fix. Few can handle it and few can get frustrated. Chances are slim that a foreigner, specially an older one, will find a girl from a financially stable background. For the rest of the situations, relationships face similar issues. Again, all of it can be thought of as a broad generalization and nothing like a matter of fact statement. Regards

you sound like a guy who cannot accept rejection, if you are so happy with your 22 yr old why come on and attack a woman who said no, even giving her name out, which i think is against the rules any way,be a man and accept you are not going to sweep all the ladies off their feet jmo

That's right.This is a wide world without limitations and in this matter anything is possible.Girls will cross the sea for you--at THEIR own expense.Of course,you have to endeavor to treat them right.But,oh yes,they will.wink So you're wrong about that Steve.However,I will add,that in my opinion,the Philippines is a paradise for men.No other country can really compare,including Thailand.Filipinas will truly and fully love you and age is not an issue with most of them.Do they love you because of the fact that you are caucasian..yes.That hopefully you can provide for them..yes.But the key word is love.And they are unique among women for this quality.Are they really different from women in our home countries?YES!In all the ways they are different,I won't even get into here for obvious reasons.Another foreigner I met in the Phil years ago once told me,"This is the place where you can still be a white man"!.Note where I live and trust my judgement.Asia is the place to be.I haven't even mentioned Taiwan yet.This site is nothing.I know girls from:Taiwan,China,Phil.,Thailand,Indonesia,Vietnam,Japan..not to mention the other foreign girls who are here working and studying.Women in the west...don't get me started!
