Ah yeah, it's just a bit of craic! Sure it's only the bad incidents/bouncers you ever hear about, far more good bouncers out there it's just people aren't going to talk about them and how great they are. Thankless job, fair play to ya!

I was once told by a bouncer, that I couldnt get into the club, coz I had an "innapropriate haircut" (shaved head)..so I told him, it was only like that because I had to get rid of nits and lice....needless to say I still didnt get in, after he told me to f*** off....

A funny thing happened to me in a nightclub in Wexford. I was told on the way in, I wasn't allowed to dance on the dancefloor for insurance purposes. I laughed that off anyway and after a while started dancing and was promptly reminded it wasnt allowed. The bouncers quickly changed their minds though when they realised the group of friends i was there with (about 15 of us in total) were going to walk out too if i was thrown out
I worked on de door 4 a couple of years.. in a bar up de north.. de place i worked de door staff were gud and professional..i would say dat wouldnt i .. but ave seen some thugs working as bouncers dat let de bit of power they think day ave go to their empty head..sorry to ere bout ur run in wit de doorstaff unfortunately there are lots of muppets about..
