Could the DOW go to 3000 or lower?
206,000 rail cars have been mothballed by the 5 largest railroads as rail freight declines 17.6%.
2,500,000 shipping containers have been mothballed by the worlds largest shipping companies as container shipments decline 24.9%.
Total taxable sales in the U.S. have declined at an annual rate of 12.6% so far in 2009.
Even Warren Buffet stated today that U.S. sales have fallen off a cliff. Berkshire Hathaway has declined by 50% since October, 2007.
Is there any end in sight?

Just got a letter in the mail today offering me 2.9% for 24 months if I would carry a balance on the credit card I already have. That same company is offering to pay 2.95% on a 12 month CD. Go figure!

In the fine print there is an extra monthly charge for having the right of overdraft - 0.7% - regardless if you used it or not laugh

It is on the existing card I already have which does not have that clause. Anyway, I pay it off every month and have never carried a balance on it and do not intend to regardless of the terms. I just thought it was interesting.

I rid myself of credit cards about a year ago. Like a huge weight off my shoulders. I will NEVER EVER get one again. I really don't even feel like I need one either.

I would like to be able to do that, but when I buy $10,000 or more of farm supply inputs, it is a little problematic to carry cash and they will still give a cash discount with a credit card.

You must give them a lot of business so they give it to you.
