Why are we all so worried. We have credit cards, don't we? They'll get us through these hard times!
Just got a letter in the mail today offering me 2.9% for 24 months if I would carry a balance on the credit card I already have. That same company is offering to pay 2.95% on a 12 month CD. Go figure!

In the fine print there is an extra monthly charge for having the right of overdraft - 0.7% - regardless if you used it or not

It is on the existing card I already have which does not have that clause. Anyway, I pay it off every month and have never carried a balance on it and do not intend to regardless of the terms. I just thought it was interesting.
I rid myself of credit cards about a year ago. Like a huge weight off my shoulders. I will NEVER EVER get one again. I really don't even feel like I need one either.

I would like to be able to do that, but when I buy $10,000 or more of farm supply inputs, it is a little problematic to carry cash and they will still give a cash discount with a credit card.
