One of the main reasons I moved from California was to get back to the small town life. I moved into Ocean Springs which has only 17,000 wonderful southern people who live here. It is an artist community that is right next door to the casino communities. So I enjoy the best of both worlds. My little place and the entertainment, restaurants and night life of the casinos.

Lived in the country for 28 yrs...deer in the back yard, a bear at the clothesline, fox crossing the road...tons of birds. I loved feeding/watching the birds. I miss living in the country and even if there was an outhouse that would be ok too as long as there was a special someone to share it with. I have lived here in the capital for nearly 7 yrs...its close to work and thats all.

I have found peace! Nature, deer and turkeys are my nearest neighbors, Kinda the old fashioned way of life, before the BIG Cities Ect.
Just wonder how many women accept, and like this kind of environment? and still not too far from town. Or would you have no part of it?

I grew up in the country and love both country and city living. I think I'd take the country life over city life any day though. the "city folk" started moving to the country quite a few years back....
I actually got a phone call from a neighbor-about 3 miles down the road, complaining that my beagle was chasing his deer...
doing the math, we had lived there for well over 30 years, opposed to about 5 years for him...
I should have told him to send my deer back home Hind sight is 20/20

Arghhhhhh...feel ya pain...bug spray don't smell nice either - and never found any that work!
