bourbon: They were actually ripped off... in the sense that the money was allocated for the aboriginal people, but it was given to ATSIC for dispersal and ATSIC ripped their own people off. ATSIC people were all driving around in brand new 4WD's while the people they were supposed to be helping received little, if anything at all.

and when they do get the money allocated to them they piss it up or burn down the houses that were built with the money ... ohhhhh.. or... they can sit at home.. get pissed.. and call a taxi to bring a carton of grog around to their house and use their taxi vouchers to pay for it...and dont say it doesnt happen.. I saw it daily when my son was in day care (which by the way I paid for unlike some people there who got it paid for by the government .. oh.. and by the way.. these people who had their kids in daycare.. were not working or studying or sick or anything like that.. they were at the pub playing the pokies ...

Ralf74: She certainly isn't the most refined politician out there and think that is what makes her great, she is just another person trying to make a difference for the everyday people. The media are extremely harsh to her and they only tell you what they want you to believe. Pauline will be judged on voting day by the public but the media and those threatened by her are hell bent on making her look bad, the only problem is, us Aussies like an underdog so the more they try the better she looks.

Ouch...Ouch,again.....there is quite a bit of 'Wisdom' in that Statement...food for thought....No 'Race' or 'Creed' is 'Blameless' or 'Innocent' of No wrong doing.........I will stick up my hand here, my heritage is 'Dutch'.....Indonesia was once a Colony of 'The Netherlands'...The way some of the 'Dutch Settlers' treated the 'Indonesians' was absolutely appalling....Again what I am trying to say....No Race or Country is blameless of mistreating other Countries Local population...sometimes it so easy to point the finger at someone else...before we take a look at ourselves...Yep...I plead Guilty...I have done it...we all have done it....

I worked in child protection and the majority of cases involved white families. And I spent last year as fulltime carer for one of my granddaughters because her mother (my white step daughter) was on speed and other drugs. she is now in jail and the 3 kids are with my ex. At the moment I have my 37 yo daughter staying here. she lost her kids to the gov't because of speed use.
the problems are in all parts of society and the effects are bloody criminal.
