From a totally different perspective without meaning to cause you cncern,If you continue to experiance phanton scents Ide see your doctor immediatly.
Olfactory hallucinations can often be a sign of a tumour in the brain .
Its quite common
Very treatable if diagnoised early

I think it is the sweet smell of a new begining! All the burnt charcoal puts nitogen in the soil, like fresh fertiliser. Fire opens seed pods which sometimes won,t open without it. Sometimes fresh tree sap such as pine trees for example will make the air smell fresh ,clean, pure with oxygen. In Arab countries they have made purfumes out of tree sap for centuries out of Frankincense. It is the work of the Fairies which are Angels!

Yeah I have experienced this a number of times in many different places that there was no way there could be a source. I put it down to being in my mind till a friend smelt it near me and asked me why I smelt like females perfume. She described it the same way I would as well. This is actually the first I have heard of it happening to anyone else.

Yeah I know what you mean I dont tend to talk about the weird things that happen in my life. Just try to take them in my stride. I figure there is a whole lot more going on than our mere 5 senses can tell us. Would love to have an explaination though...

what were the circumstances surrounding the scent? As Stone said, he was in a bushfire area, was where you were similar?

Often would be in the middle of a cut wheat crop with no trees or bushes as far as the eye could see. A few times in my car and my car never smelt that pretty. The time with my friend was in the house we shared at the time. It was the same smell every time. I put it down to a misspent youth till she smelt and described it to me. And it was very feminine, foral and young or new I guess not really the best words to describe it but it wasnt like an older style of perfume. Most theories suggest a passed relative. Though I have noone I can think it would be.

Wow, it is very fascinating. I am not typically into supernatural theories but I don't write anything off as none of us are experts no matter how educated we are and how many studies we have done. Maybe you need to be open to these theories to experience them?? My sisters and brother have experienced supernatural activity in our family home. I have never seen anything though, ever. dunno

I dont know if I would call it supernatural. I figure its all part of nature. Just because we cant all taste, touch, feel, hear or see it doesnt mean it isnt. EMR (light) is a perfect example. We cant sense radiowaves but we know they are there otherwise we wouldnt have tv and radio.

wine So true, call it a lack of a better way to describe it!! grin It certainly can't be that bad of a thing if it invokes such a memorable response, whatever it is.
