I hope not............... I haven't got my mercurial religious hat on right now; I was just thinking of the tv ratings and the advertising revenue and who would win - sorry!
I was thinking what weapon GWB would have used - he'd probably wave a small plastic knife (like they give you these days on aeroplanes) while instructing a stealth bomber to drop a 'bunker buster' on Saddam.
Saddam, being slightly more intelligent, would probably get one of his doubles to fight on his behalf while he dressed up in drag and watched from the sidelines playing nervously with his moustache.

Just because we have some sembelance of higher thought does not mean that humans are civilised, no matter how hard it fed to us and how deep we delude ourselves to the fact that once the veneer is stripped away we are anything more than base animals. All that we do to and accomplish through our meaningless existence all boils down to survival and continuation of the species and nothing more, despite all the gloss and meaning we force ourselves to believe as to prevent our large but relatively underdeveloped brains from exploding

Is our so-called civilisation going down the path where Gladiators will soon fight to the death live on tv, or people are seen commiting suicide? Will individuals sell to the media their dying moments from some incurable cancer to be shown live on tv so we can weep for them safe in the knowledge that our macabre desire to see them die will help fund that person's orphaned childrens' education??
