Snuggs09: "Taking Chance" is a movie I saw on HBO this weekend.
I can't encourage my friends throught the world enough to make an effort to see it.
I don't want to tell you too much about it other than it is about a fallen soldier coming home from Iraq and what happens after he gets back to the United States.
Please make an effort to see it and then maybe someone will do a thread on it.

I forgot to mention that Chance is the name of the fallen soldier. The title of the movie refers to Taking Chance home.

The thing that makes the movie so great is you see how Kevin Bacon, the marine that is bringing chance home, is affected by this.
Also, you also see in the movie all the things that are done to give this soldier the respect that he deserves, how they prepare his body with ice and always having a flag with his body.
This honor and respect happens for every single fallen soldier. It just brought me to tears.

I assume the UK has HBO. I didn't have HBO when I saw the advertisement for the movie. I wanted to see this movie so badly that I called my cable company and signed up for HBO.

To be honest i'm not sure. The only time i have seen HBO is in a hotel in Florida. I have just watched a trailor of the film on IMDB & agree it is a must see so thanks for bringing it to our attention
