anyone know where i can get simplified info on the health risks of mobile phone masts/base stations.

there's one being put practically in my sisters back garden i need something i can show older residents who don't understand the technology.

i have some understanding myself but would like somewhere i can reference any help would be great.

I don't have any factual basis for this Seamus, but our head office has a phone mast behind it and in the last 4 years two of my male colleagues have need quadruple by-pass'es.....I wonder about if the mast has anything to do with it?!?dunno

i doubt it bypas is more to do with arterys clotting up from smoking or fatty foods
more risk of cancer or risks to pregnancy than anything else

dunno about that..we dont have enough longtitudinal studies.....magnetism has potent effects on the human body..blood circulation etc.....we are g8 electrical conductors...mainly water with a few trace elements thrown in..?? dunno

There isn't electrical waves involved in phone waves; remember that air is an insulator so this nullifies any risk. A mobile phone handset would be more risky than a base station given it's closeness to the body when in use but a phones power output is very low, about 3 watts.

TETRA stands for ‘Terrestrial Trunked Radio’. It is the new police radio system, operated by O2 under the brand name Airwave.

it has the capabilities of a mobile network i'm finding very conflicting info some say it operates on pulse radio waves meaning its always on pulsing 24 7 and operates on a higher frequency than mobile networks
