In response to: When talking about a good character, what come up in your mind? Can you give me one or two words?
Here's what i define as good character.
Honesty Integrity Morality, (especially without religious conviction) Sensitivity, towards others and or other peoples viewpoints A sense of humour Reliability
So, if you can say you will turn up on time, be there on time, laugh about it when something went wrong talk to someone while i am say five minutes late without offending anyone and have a drink ready for me on a bar without being angry or wondering if i do this on a regular basis to avoid buying the first round then you pass stage one of me liking you.
You get extra points though if you have an Alsation, especially if it's fluffy.

I can only assume you are talking about me!! My mother used to say, "...Jesus Christ, you can't be that stupid" or "Jesus Christ, you expect me to believe that story?"
I asked the Lord for patience last night, as a matter of fact. I said Lord please give me patience and give it to me right fu**ing now!! The Lord answered and said, "Son, where is your 'self control"
The next time you switch on TV and see a celebrity blame their cocaine habit on something remember what i said.
In Japan and other Far Eastern cultures, they are far more stable, with tradition and cultural traits to keep them shall we say more "controlled".
Controlled maybe the wrong word, regimented or ordered might be a better description.
Perhaps we can get some people from the far east to explain it as well.
Read something on Bushido and you might well understand the concept a little more
I think "honourable" would be a better word.
I had an instructor on a drilling safety course who spent a lot of time in Asia and mainly Japan, and he always said, "excuse me, my fault". That's stuck with me for over a dozen years.
