bourbon: Digital TV... who's already made the switch to digital?
... and who hasn't?

I have a new HDTV in my bedroom but the other main living areas televisions have not been hooked to it up yet, I need set top boxes for them. I am not really sure what I think of it just yet. It has been giving me some dramas with no signal and i am not sure if it is the reception or the television. dunno

I am looking forward to OneHD and all the sport on offer. I don't really see much difference in the picture quality especially when the screen keeps pixellating. I haven't had any snow or lines like you get with digital but i often get the no signal problem and the television is very slow to change channels, again, not sure if it is the television itself?

Not sure about the slow to change channels but the pixelating and no picture would be due to poor signal. Usually if you check in the menus you will find something showing the signal strength.

Well up here where I am working we only have digital on sbs and channel 2, GWN (kinda like channel 7 but only the crappy shows) and WIN are only analogue here. Havent heard any word on when they may change over. 2 and SBS have only just changed over last November.

Good ol WA (Wait Awhile)moping

Thanks for that Caysea, I live in an area that is in a valley so the signal strength varies all over town, my sister needs a booster to recieve analogue television, whereas i don't. I may have to look into it then and do the same. I don't watch much television but it is frustrating if I do. I think we have the 15 channels, haven't counted them and they all have the same thing on analogue as digital except for the new OneHD channel. And there are radio channels for SBS and ABC.
